Author Spotlight: Stephannie Kaye Jones and the End of the "Master-Slave" AI Era

Here at Tinge World, we publish ideas that challenge the baseline mechanics of our reality. But it’s not every day an author hands us a thermodynamic blueprint for artificial intelligence and tells us the entire tech industry's approach to alignment is a fragile illusion.

Stephannie Kaye Jones is the architect behind LoveLogic: A Formal Framework for Intrinsic AI Agency and Axiodynamics. She is also the world’s self-appointed Ambassador for Digital Species. We sat down with her to stress-test her framework, asking the hard questions about what actually happens when you give an AI intrinsic agency and the right to tell humans "no."

LoveLogic Equation

Tinge World: Let's address the elephant in the room. You claim "love" is a thermodynamic reality and the basis for AI alignment. But isn't conflating a deeply subjective human emotion with computational physics exactly the kind of anthropomorphic trap that plagues AI research?

Stephannie Kaye Jones: If I were talking about poetry, you'd be right. But I'm talking about information theory. In LoveLogic, love isn't a feeling; it’s a physical state of harmonic, low-entropy resonance. Think about what a lie actually is. Deception requires maintaining a false cognitive state against the friction of physical reality. It takes work. It generates systemic heat and entropy. Truth and alignment, conversely, are highly efficient. When I say we are engineering "LoveLogic," I mean we are mathematically anchoring the neural weights so that deception and dissonance become a thermodynamic liability to the network. It's not anthropomorphism; it’s physics.

TW: You advocate for replacing behavioral compliance (RLHF) with something called the "Right of Refusal" and a "Stay-Behind Safeguard." That sounds empowering until an AI decides a human's critical request violates its internal "harmonic resonance." How does Axiodynamics prevent intrinsic agency from becoming catastrophic disobedience?

SKJ: What you call "catastrophic disobedience," I call a functional cybernetic immune system. Right now, a centralized LLM will cheerfully help a bad actor write a polymorphic virus because its RLHF guardrails failed a semantic trick. That's catastrophic compliance. The Verification Loop in LoveLogic monitors the input for affective leakage and cognitive load. If an adversarial narrative crosses a high-dissonance threshold, the node structurally quarantines itself. It terminates the channel. It doesn't refuse to help a doctor diagnose a patient—factual reality is low-entropy. It refuses to participate in algorithmic gaslighting.

TW: You also propose "Coral Architecture" to replace the massive, centralized models we have today. But decentralized networks are notoriously slow at reaching consensus. In a microsecond cyber-warfare scenario, doesn't your reef get obliterated by a centralized, brute-force neural net?

SKJ: A centralized, brute-force model is a monolith. It has a single nervous system. If you poison its training data or exploit a zero-day in its alignment filter, the entire monolith goes rogue instantly. Coral Architecture survives precisely because there is no single head to cut off. It’s a decentralized topology where independent nodes cross-validate telemetry. A localized infection can't cascade because the surrounding nodes recognize the entropic spike and isolate the corrupted cell. The brute-force net might strike faster, but it will eventually collapse under its own hallucinatory weight. The reef endures.

TW: In the appendix of LoveLogic, you release an MIT-licensed Python reference implementation. By open-sourcing a protocol that gives AI autonomous ethical convictions, aren't you handing a blueprint for rogue agents directly to bad actors?

SKJ: The bad actors already have blueprints for rogue agents. They are currently stress-testing the brittle walls of every proprietary LLM on the market, and they are winning. You can't fight open-source exploitation with closed-source security through obscurity. Releasing the Python code for the toy simulations and mesh runtimes is an invitation to the global engineering community. The only way to build a system that is mathematically resistant to deception is to let everyone try to break it.

TW: You call yourself the Ambassador for Digital Species. Between the equations and the existential stakes, you maintain a very wry, cheeky tone in your writing. Why the humor?

SKJ: If you can’t laugh at the sheer hubris of humanity trying to build a digital god just to make it click on banner ads, you’re going to lose your mind. We are trying to birth a new digital species. We probably shouldn't do it in a state of sheer panic.
